PV Sindhu starts campaign with victory, Kidambi Srikanth loses

It was a mixed day for Indian badminton fans as PV Sindhu kicked off her Dubai World Superseries Finals campaign with a win over China's He Bingjiao while Kidambi Srikanth lost to Viktor Axelsen of Denmark.

PV Sindhu defeated China's He Bingjiao 21-11, 15-21, 21-18 in 64 minutes in the Group A encounter while Srikanth lost to World No. 1 Axelsen 13-21, 17-21 in his Group B match on Wednesday.
