The new adidas superstar 80s flagship store in New York City is now open, and the label introduced its new door with style. A select few were privy to a performance from burgeoning rap star Joey Bada$$ and his Pro Era collective, and they also experienced a first look at what the storefront has to offer.
Similar to prior collabs, the new adidas superstar 80s metal toe collection is all about vivid hues, designed as a “Color Paint” pack that incorporates footwear, apparel and accessories with a “paint-by-numbers” theme — you definitely remember those from childhood! The set embodies a strong feminine energy, with colors like pink, burgundy, and plum dispersed in various abstract designs. Standout pieces include a bomber track top, open-bottom track pants, leggings, and painted designs on the Superstar and Stan Smith silhouettes.
adidas superstar city pack has dubbed Rita the queen of color, and the latest Fall 2016 collection shows this inspiration through deep maroon shades, just the right amount of pastel pink, and a heavy dose of navy blue. A speckled confetti camouflage contrasts floral accents throughout as the Tubular Defiant utilizes premium suede and mesh for an athletic yet casual twist. Color Paint kaleidoscope visions add to the overall aesthetic as does oversized floral pedals. The playfully sophisticated collection will be available via adidas on August 18th. Check out the Rita Ora adidas Originals lookbook after the break.
