I sell items that have the highest buy limit (10k-25k). I tend to flip. I concentrate on foods such as runes, food items, and pots. I monitor a few items that I am aware of crash occasionally and earn money off that too. I'm constantly changing expensive armor and weapons I use to help me save my cash and earn more often. Ie sold my bgs before it crashed to 8 mi and sold my fury just before it crashed, then bought one for 13 mil and traded it for 14.5 millimetres. I bought claws, then lent them to friends for 1 mil and sold. Because armour and weapons tend to be in a constant downward spiral, it is good to be able to make such decisions.
I'm unable to flip barrows or any weapon , armour or weapon for the matter, very easily. Tips? I'll take everything that people are trying to sell on a rush basis and earn a profit from it. Ie my fury example. I also made 150k from an individual who sold his whip to make 1 mill. It's like that.
My time for flipping is contingent upon the price's trend. If the price is rising, ill max buy at the min price (how I calculate max and min prices will be discussed below) and then sell them for their maximum at the time the transaction is complete. Sometimes, I buy/sell them for 1gp or more over the min/max, depending upon the margin of profit and the speed at which i can determine to buy/sell.
If the price of the item is declining, I will purchase for the minimum price and immediately sell for the max price while still purchasing at min. My reason for this is that, if I wait the sometimes 10 mins to buy the maximum price for an item that is dropping, the max price will fall in the time.
