SIEM REAP, Cambodia Mike Gesicki Dolphins Jersey , March 21 (Xinhua) -- U.S. First lady Michelle Obama on Saturday met Cambodian female students to stress the importance of girls' education.
Michelle, along with Bun Rany, wife of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, visited female students at Hun Sen Prasat Bakong High School here.
"We met with a group of young girls. Most we talked with were teenagers. These girls were amazing, they have big huge dreams Dan Marino Youth Jersey ," she said at a "Let Girls Learn" event after a meeting with those female-students. "Their plans are to use their education to serve their community and to build their country."
The first lady, who is a Princeton graduate in sociology, encouraged girls to focus on schooling, saying that their success would not happen without education.
" 'Let Girls Learn 'is about giving girls like you here a voice in your community and in your country," said the first lady Jordan Phillips Youth Jersey ,who also holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Harvard Law School. "When you have chance to fulfill your potential, there is no limit to what you can achieve, so I'm today to urge you to keep learning as much as you can."
According the UNESCO, literacy rate among females in Cambodia is much lower than males, only 70.9 percent of females are literate DeVante Parker Youth Jersey , compared with 85.1 percent of males.
The "Let Girls Learn" initiative, launched by the first lady earlier this month, aims at reducing the number of girls who do not attend school.
The effort will use America's nearly 7,000 Peace Corps volunteers live and work in developing communities across the globe to help expand access for schooling for girls.

Cambodia is one of the 11 countries in the Let Girls Learn initiative, according to the White House. The other countries are: Albania, Benin, Burkina Faso Charles Harris Youth Jersey , Georgia, Ghana, Moldova, Mongolia, Mozambique Xavien Howard Youth Jersey , Togo, and Uganda.
Michelle arrived in the country Friday to promote her new "Let Girls Learn" global education initiative to Cambodian girls.
She is scheduled to visit the famed Angkor Wat Temple on Saturday afternoon before leaving for the United States on Sunday morning.
Burpees. A burpee is used for both strength training and as a cardio exercise. Start the exercise in an upright standing position and then lower yourself into a squat with your hands on the ground. Then push your feet behind you to manoevere into a push-up position. Now move your legs forward back into the squat position and jump up in the hair with your arms raised above your head. Burpees literally work out all body parts and are great for developing explosive strength.
Parallel Bar Dips. This exercise uses just your bodyweight, but it does require a set of dip bars for it do be performed correctly. Firmly grip each bar and support your body which will hang between the bars. Slowly lower your body until your arms form a right angles and then raise yourself back to the start. This is a very challenging exercise and you are likely to find that you can only do a few reps. But as you start to progress you can make things harder by strapping a weight plate belt around your waist. Alternatively fill a backpack up with heavy objects. The parallel dip bars work both the triceps and the chest muscles. To focus on the chest muscles, lean you chest forward a bit when you do the lowering motion. When you focus on the tricpes, lean backwars throughout the exercise and focus on squeezing those arm muscle.

Return to the starting position, and next do a lunge but leading with your other leg this time. Lunges are good for developing the thighs, hamstrings and calves and for quick explosive leg strength.

It is because calves go relatively unseen by people as they are usually covered by socks and trousers…but that is not excuse not to train our calves! To stretch the calf muscles before your calf workout what you do is to get on your hands and knees as though your are an Olympic sprinter about to start a race. Take on of your back legs and pace your foot behind the remaining supporting leg. Then use your bodyweight to push down slightly on this calf and hold the stretch for around 10 seonds. Rest and then repeat on the other side.
