It’s excellent again. In light of that http://www.falconsfootballauthentics.com/julio-jones-jersey-authentic , it's time to catch up on where the show's alumni are for the 2018 season. These aren't all the players who went through East Mississippi Community College during its two seasons or Independence CC during Season 3, but they are the ones the show's featured most prominently.(Some spoilers, obviously.)Season 1 at EMCCEMCC’s leadership got a major shake-up at the end of 2016. Tempestuous head coach Buddy Stephens is still at EMCC for 2018, but OC Marcus Wood is off the coaching staff, DC Ed Holly left to become the head coach at Westminster Christian School in Florida, and QB coach Clint Trickett left for the tight ends job at FAU.Buddy Stephens at EMCCSteve Dietl / Courtesy of Sony PPerhaps more importantly, Brittany Wagner, the players’ (and viewers’) favorite grown-up on campus, left to start an athletic counseling business and join the staff of a Michigan high school.Brittany Wagner at EMCCNetflixQB John Franklin III, formerly of Florida State, was long hyped as Auburn's next star JUCO QB. At EMCC, the show depicts Division I coaches being cautious about showing interest in him. He played in only a handful of games for Kiffin’s FAU in 2017, due to blood clots, but is competing for the Owls’ 2018 starting job.DL Chauncey Rivers, kicked out by Georgia over weed, can now suit up for Mississippi State after being ruled ineligible in 2017. He’ll be part of a loaded rotation at the edge and is hopefully still making rap songs about how much he loves his mom.LB Dakota Allen lost his spot at Texas Tech because of a burglary charge but returned after leading EMCC in tackles and appearing to be a model citizen on the show. He’s arguably Texas Tech’s best player heading into 2018.Dakota Allen at Texas TechMichael C. Johnson-USA TODAY SportsDL Tim Bonner is also still at FAU. You wouldn't put it past Kiffin to add people just because they're on a TV show, but Bonner — a former Louisville signee and Ole Miss commit — certainly has talent. Henry didn’t sign with a new school.Malik Henry at IndependenceNetflixOT Tramonda Moore, who signed with Oklahoma State out of high school, remained a four-star at Indy and went to Oklahoma, which both Moore and the Sooners wanted all along. That’s full circle, because the Vols were the West Tennessee native’s first offer, four years earlier. In June, LB Bobby Bruce was charged with armed robbery near his hometown of Titusville, Florida. Indy doesn’t expect him back.OL Kerry Buckmaster, who had no offers out of high school and is shown battling injury and a position switch, is now at Division II Lindenwood.Season 4?Guess we’ll see how things go IRL for ICC this year.Week 1 proved once again to be fertile ground for overreactions The Falcons looked like one of the NFL’s most inept offenses in Week 1. The Buccaneers looked like a legitimately great offense with.../squints...Ryan Fitzpatrick at the helm. The Saints looked like one of the NFL’s worst defenses. Ben Roethlisberger looked completely cooked, Tyreek Hill looked unstoppable, the Cowboys offense looked like it may not score two touchdowns in a game until 2019, and Khalil Mack looked like the rightful heir to the Sacking Throne. Some of these things may well prove to be true—the Cowboys offense really might be that bad, and I pray the Saints defense is—but much of it will prove to be a one week aberration, or we’ll see regression toward the mean. And while I’m less optimistic about a Shanahan-esque renaissance for the offense than some of our staff, for a change, it’s a nice reminder that things really do get weird and outlandish in Week 1, and there are 32 fanbases either freaking out because something went wrong or freaking out because they think their dreams are going to come true, even if they’re not. I sound this cheery little note now because we saw the Falcons do some very lame and bad things against the Eagles that would spell doom for this team if they continued, but not all or even any of them will.So take heart and know that much of what you saw in Week 1 across the NFL was a mirage, or at least an exaggeration. We’ll hope the same is true for Atlanta.
