In our MMOGDP review we highlighted that you will not be able to sustain development from Maple M Mesos just completing story missions, particularly if you get deeper into the game. On several occasions, there are four-plus degree jumps between story assignments. This usually means that you will not be able to breeze through MMOGDP. We recommend keeping up with all the essential level of the missions if none or two higher. Keep in mind that some mainline missions see a gain in level should you pass the original amount. That's OK, however, because this doesn't influence future mission recommended levels.
If you're trying to find a way to level up while still undergoing some fairly interesting content, dedicated side quests are a fantastic option. Side quests are indicated on the map together with exclamation points. All of these have a narrative element to them and a number of them even result in unlocking new mainline assignments (weird, right?) Or additional side quests. Most of all, side quests distribute as much and sometimes more expertise than story assignments. Essentially, completing side quests is equally as important as story quests during the grind.
Side quests are finite, however. There's typically a couple of quests for each level, but after some time, they mmogdp won't even be enough to keep you at the right level. That is where all of the in-between things comes in. All through Early Greece are enemy strongholds. A number of these are big Spartan, Athenian, or bandit foundations, while some are single buildings or even environmental landmarks. You don't need to walk far to discover chances to earn chunks of experience factors. Fortresses are marked in the map with a red symbol, while Leaders (strong enemy homes ) are indicated with a blue symbol.
Often times you will stumble on enemy places not previously marked on your map. You'll know that if Alexios or Kassandra remarks that they ought to be quiet there. You can press L3 (down to the left thumbstick) to show location objectives. Sometimes objectives include killing an enemy priest or polemarch, along with looting treasure chests and/or picking up crucial items and trimming war supplies. Other times it's simply looting chests. It is dependent on the location. Smaller places with no or less enemies lead to fewer experience points, however they are still worth clearing away. It is simple to snag 1,000 or more experience points for only a few minutes work.
