Raiders www.oaklandraidersteamonline.com without both starting defensive tackles Starting at the two defensive tackle spots in the Raiders’ season opener against the Rams were Justin Ellis and PJ Hall. Both missed practice Wednesday in preparation to face the Broncos in week two.PJ Hall suffered an ankle injury in the game. He got it taped up and returned to the game, but Wednesday was wearing a walking boot and his status is very much in doubt. Justin Ellis has a foot injury and the fact that the team added 6-3, 320-pound Johnathan Hankins along with 6-2, 297-pound Clinton McDonald today suggests Ellis could miss some time. DeAndre Washington returned to practice after missing all last week and the game recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery. He was limited.Other notable players limited Wednesday are KR Dwayne Harris(foot), center Rodney Hudson (Ankle), right guard Gabe Jackson (Pectoral) Oakland Raiders T-Shirt , running back Marshawn Lynch (Shoulder) and punter Johnny Townsend (right quad). The Broncos have a lot of guys listed but all practiced full.Wednesday injury reportRaiders......Raiders......Raiders add kicker Matt McCrane to replace injured Mike Nugent Just three games into the season, the Raiders have already suffered three season ending injuries to special teams players, two of which came at the kicker position.Undrafted rookie Eddy Pineiro was to be the team’s starter this season until he was lost for the season with a groin injury. He was replaced by Mike Nugent. Nugent’s holder Andrew DePaola was injured on the first punt of the season, tearing his ACL. He was replaced by undrafted rookie Trent Sieg. Then in the third game in Miami, Nugent suffered a hip injury and he has been placed on injured reserve as well. Nugent will be eligible to return after eight weeks, but the Raiders could opt to keep him shut down for the remainder of the season. Nugent will be replaced by undrafted rookie Matt McCrane. This gives the Raiders an entirely rookie trio of long snapper Oakland Raiders Hats , kicker, and punter (Johnny Townsend).McCrane originally signed with the Arizona Cardinals this offseason out of Kansas State where he was a three-time All-Big12 performer. He connected on all four of his field goal attempts in preseason action, including makes from 53 and 54 yards out, and was 3-for-3 on point after attempts.Follow @LeviDamien
