Oklahoma at Iowa State on ABC at 12:00 p.m. ESTWe’ve got a few top teams slated at noon http://www.lionsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-christian-jones-jersey , but no top-tier matchups. Oklahoma has a few prospects that the Detroit Lions could target early.OklahomaWR Marquise Brown | 5-foot-10, 168 pounds (Junior)Brown has a slight frame and will need to add the extra weight to hang with the big boys on Sundays, but he is electric with the ball in his hands and could make for a good slot receiver at the next level. He’s had some problems with drops, which could be an issue when you have Matthew Stafford slinging bullets at you, but Brown is one of the better slot options to choose from, nonetheless.IOL Ben Powers | 6-foot-4, 313 pounds (Senior)No relation to Kenny.Powers thrives in pass protection with good hand placement and solid, consistent footwork. He’s been a reliable piece for the Sooners’ offensive line and that’s already a big help if you’re the Lions, who may be in the market for a T.J. Lang replacement next offseason. Look no further than Benny Powers. Yep, that’s gonna stick.Iowa StateRB David Montgomery | 5-foot-11, 216 pounds (Junior)Okay, well, the Lions probably won’t be drafting a running back early in next year’s draft, but you’re already watching this game anyway (or at least you should be), so might as well keep a close eye on Montgomery, who is a complete stud and a very fun back to watch.See for yourself.#12 LSU at #7 Auburn on CBS at 3:30 p.m. ESTLSUCB Greedy Williams | 6-foot-3, 184 pounds (RS Sophomore)I mean his name is Greedy Williams, what more do you want?Tall corners were a big thing that kind of died down, mostly because it’s nearly impossible to find both a tall cornerback and a good athlete. Williams is that rare breed who happens to be both. Williams has great feet and is able to stick to receivers like glue in man coverage and has the click-and-close ability to consistently make a play on the ball. He is a bit shy as a tackler and in run support, but I think you can work with that and he has some elite traits that you just don’t find in many prospects. Oh, and he’s pretty confident in himself, too.DL Rashard Lawrence | 6-foot-3 Devon Kennard Jersey , 317 pounds (Junior)The Lions need all the help they can get on the defensive line. I mean, for the love of God, please do something, Bob.Lawrence is a solid player that will likely go somewhere in the early-to-mid-rounds if he declares. He is powerful and uses his hands extremely well to disengage early from blockers and causes opposing offenses fits. He is a nightmare when he gets a good jump off the snap and has one of the deadliest push-pull moves I’ve seen in a while. Lawrence could be a very nice addition to the Lions’ interior D-line, a unit that is still struggling to find any semblance of a pass rush, not to mention their struggles against the run. Lawrence could provide an immediate improvement in both areas.Auburn QB Jarrett Stidham | 6-foot-3, 215 pounds (RS Junior)Stidham isn’t a kid that’s going to jump right into the NFL and start. He comes from a program that generally doesn’t produce many NFL-ready quarterbacks, largely due to Gus Malzahn’s innovative, but non-QB friendly offensive scheme. Luckily, the Lions have Stafford locked up for a while, and they don’t really need a backup that can step in right away. What they do need is a QB with some actual skills, and Stidham is the first Auburn QB with some serious potential since, well, Cam Newton. Stidham is an accurate thrower with a decent arm and has the ability to not only throw the ball downfield (already an upgrade), but complete the ball down field. I know, it’s a new concept, but trust me, it’s possible.Detroit Lions Week 4 scouting report: Dallas Cowboys searching for answers on offense The Detroit Lions are hoping to keep the good time rolling. After a win over the Patriots last week, the Lions have a second life. But to keep spirits high, the Lions will need to pick up a win or two before the bye week, and it starts on Sunday with the Dallas Cowboys. Here’s what you need to know about the Cowboys.Dallas CowboysLast season9-7 record (2nd in NFC East)14th in points scored, 13th in points allowedOverall DVOA: 13th (10th on offense Cheap Michael Roberts Jersey , 25th on defense)2018 offseasonKey free agent additions: WR Allen Hurns, OT Cameron Fleming, WR Tavon Austin (trade) Key losses: RB Alfred Morris, WR Dez Bryant, WR Ryan Switzer, TE Jason Witten, LB Anthony Hitchens, G Jonathan Cooper 2018 NFL draft picks:Round 1, 19 overall - LB Leighton Vander EschRound 2, Pick 50 - OL Connor Williams Round 3, Pick 81 - WR Michael GallupRound 4, Pick 116 - EDGE Dorance Armstrong Jr. Round 4, Pick 137 - TE Dalton SchultzRound 5, Pick 171 - QB Mike WhiteRound 6, Pick 193 - LB Chris CovingtonRound 6, Pick 208 - WR Cedrick WilsonRound 7, Pick 236 - RB Bo ScarbroughThe Cowboys offense took a pretty big hit this offseason. In between Dez Bryant’s divorce from the team, Jason Witten’s retirement and a bunch of preseason injuries to the offense line, Dallas entered the regular season with a lot of question about how they’d keep up their efficient offense from last season. To their credit, Dallas tried to mitigate the damage, drafting Michael Gallup in the third round and adding both Tavon Austin and Allen Hurns. They also made sure to keep their offensive line fresh by adding Cameron Fleming in free agency and Connor Williams in the draft.2018 season thus farWeek 1: Loss to Panthers, 8-16Week 2: Win over Giants http://www.lionscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-sylvester-williams-jersey , 20-13Week 3: Loss to Seahawks, 13-24The story of the 2018 Cowboys thus far has easily been their lackluster offense. They’ve scored just 41 total points through three games (31st), and their yards per play (5.0) ranks them 23rd in the NFL.The problem is pretty easily identifiable. Ezekiel Elliott is still as amazing as ever, but this pass offense is hurting without any proven receiving talent. No Dez, no Witten, and you’re left with Cole Beasley as your leading receiver, with a mere 132 yards through three games. Tavon Austin has a couple of scores, but just 81 total yards. Rookie Michael Gallup is still getting his footing in the NFL.This all goes back to the play of Dak Prescott, who is facing an increasing amount of criticism as the offense continues to struggle. His passer rating of 74.9 ranks just 27th of all starting quarterbacks, as does his 5.66 yards per attempt. He hasn’t been helped out by the aforementioned beat up offensive line—he’s been sacked 11 times (fifth most)—but he’s also not making the players around him better.Defensively, this team is much more sound right now. They’re allowing just 17.7 points per game (seventh) and a mere 4.3 yards per play (second). They’ve got a feared defensive front with DeMarcus Lawrence (2.5 sacks) and Taco Charlton (1.0 sacks), but don’t sleep on their secondary, either. 2015 first-round pick Byron Jones has been Pro Football Focus’ best cornerback through three weeks, and Dallas is allowing just 6.6 yards per passing attempt (eighth). The loss of Sean Lee to an injury last week looms large, but first-round pick Leighton Vander Esch was phenomenal in his place against the Seahawks, racking up 11 tackles. It’s been a disappointing start for the Cowboys, especially racking up two losses in the NFC, but there is still enough talent here to be worried about.Outlook for 2018Vegas win total: 8.5 winsBlogging the Boys’ take: OVER 8.5 winsVegas line for Week 4: Cowboys by 3
