HOUSTON, June 17 (Xinhua) -- The presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump defended his stance on gun rights and immigration at a rally in the United States' fourth largest city of Houston on Friday night.
Trump told thousands of his supporters at the rally in northern Houston that he supported the second amendment of the U.S. Constitution on gun rights.
"Nobody will protect your Second Amendment like Donald Trump," he said, adding that the worst shooting massacre in U.S. history could have been prevented earlier this week if patrons of the nightclub involved in Orlando, Florida, had been armed.
"If some of those wonderful people had guns strapped to their waist or strapped to their ankle and this son of a (expletive) comes out and starts shooting, and one of the people happened to have it and goes 'boom, boom,' that would have been a beautiful, beautiful sight," he said. "So don't let them take their guns away. We're going to save your Second Amendment."
Trump said that his presumptive Democrat opponent, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, would destroy the second amendment granting Americans the right to bear arms.
On his immigration policy, Trump reiterated his plan to protect the U.S. border with neighboring Mexico by building a wall.
"It's going to be as beautiful as a wall can be. I have to make it beautiful because maybe one day they'll name it the Trump Wall," he said.
Trump arrived early Friday evening at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center just north of Houston. Security was on high alert as peaceful groups of protesters displayed anti-Trump slogans outside the center and downtown, and one man armed with a gun was arrested prior to Trump's arrival.
Earlier that afternoon, Trump attended a private fundraiser in Houston's wealthiest neighborhood, where about 200 guests paid from 5,400 to 250,000 U.S. dollars for entry and personally meet the hotel, casino and golf course entrepreneur and former TV game show host, who is now heading the GOP presidential nomination.
Houston is Trump's final stop of a two-day Texas tour that included a Dallas fundraiser and rally before a crowd of 3,500 people on Thursday.
This is Trump's first campaign to Texas since entering the Republican race one year ago.
Qi Xiangdong, president of Chinese anti-virus software supplier Qihoo 360 Technology, believes the best times for cybersecurity companies are about to come.
"As the Internet is widely used in various sectors, an increasing number of companies are moving sensitive data online. Demand for Web security products and services is poised to surge in the coming years because company executives are starting to see information as a core asset http://www.giantsteamstore.com/men-giants/dominique-rodgers-cromartie-authentic-jersey/ ," Qi said.
Samuel Sinn, cybersecurity service partner at PwC China, agrees.
He said new information technologies such as cloud computing and the interconnection of devices, known as the Internet of Things http://www.giantsteamstore.com/men-giants/devon-kennard-authentic-jersey/ , have high-risk vulnerabilities if users are not equipped with the right tools to protect online data.
A PwC report showed a Chinese company had to respond to more than 1,200 information security incidents on average this year, five times higher than last year. Customer data, internal records and intellectual property were the most targeted information.
Chinese companies have already spent large sums preventing data theft. Information security budgets for Chinese companies neared $8 million this year http://www.giantsteamstore.com/men-giants/davis-webb-authentic-jersey/ , significantly higher than the global average of $5.1 million, according to PwC.
ABI Research, another industry consultancy, estimated that the cybersecurity market in the country is on track to hit $10 billion by 2017 http://www.giantsteamstore.com/men-giants/darian-thompson-authentic-jersey/ , double the size of 2012. The growing mobile Internet, online shopping and deeper integration of cloud computing in traditional industries such as energy, finance and retail will be the major drivers.
Michela Menting, a senior analyst at ABI http://www.giantsteamstore.com/men-giants/daniel-fells-authentic-jersey/ , said: "As the market for Internet and mobile security products matures, especially at the consumer end, the demand for quality solutions and the focus on the end-user experience will become more important."
Customer information is frequently targeted by hackers around the globe.
In September, a long list of popular applications running on Apple's iOS mobile system were reported to have been infected with vulnerabilities that allow outsiders to spy on the devices and for passwords to be stolen.
"Data safety could become a life-or-death question today as we connect everything via the Web," Sinn said.
Because the majority of anti-virus software in China is free of charge, the country's Internet giants are placing their bets on smaller security firms that provide enterprise-level security services. The biggest buyers of security products in China are the government and State-owned companies in banking http://www.giantsteamstore.com/men-giants/cullen-jenkins-authentic-jersey/ , energy and manufacturing.
ABI Research said that because security companies have to be vetted before entering the government procurement sector, local providers-who are more familiar with the regulations than their international competitors-have an edge in winning bids.
